UFC Middleweight Darren Till spoke to Megan Olivi ahead of his headliner on July 25. The bout was an early announcement for the UFC’s move to Yas Fight Island. Darren Till previewed his strategy going into the bout, which also involved some social media trash talk. Till would position himself as a top contender to fight for the belt with a win over ‘The Reaper.’

‘The Gorilla’ moved up to the Middleweight division after being finished successively at Welterweight. Darren Till burst onto the scene in the 170-pound division and made a quick run at the title. However, the weight cut and other factors would lead him to make a move to Middleweight.

Although he has just one fight at Middleweight, Till defeated top-ranked Kelvin Gastelum in his divisional debut. With a win over former champion Whittaker, Till might skip over many long time Middleweights to fight for the strap.

“I just kept the fun and interest by making slight remarks on his social media which I think is keeping everyone entertained, especially while we’re in lockdown. I feel like I kept everyone well interested. It was good and it was fun”.
