The untimely demise of Chadwick Boseman has gutted the entire world, leaving a lot of UFC celebrities disheartened.

Boseman, popularly known for his role in Marvel’s ‘Black Panther’, was battling cancer for the past four years. Despite that, he was involved with several projects. Apart from his role in the MCU, Boseman also appeared in ‘21 Bridges’ and ‘Da 5 Bloods’ in the span.

The Instagram handle of Boseman broke the heart-breaking news. As per his family, Boseman was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer in 2016.

It is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman.⁣ ⁣ Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV. ⁣ ⁣ A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. After a fight of four years, Boseman sadly passed away in his home, with his family by the side.

Truly an unfortunate day for all the action lovers. UFC stars and other combat sports personas turned to social media to pay their condolences.

Twitter reacts to Chadwick Boseman’s death

Former light heavyweight champion Jon Jones turned to Twitter and expressed his gratitude towards the late actor. ‘Bones’ thanked Chadwick for his sheer excellence.

Seemingly shattered by the news, Dwayne Johnson also posted on Twitter.

Featherweight icon Max Holloway also had something similar to say as he expressed compassion towards Boseman’s family.

Meanwhile, several other martial artists mourned the actor’s demise.

The Black Panther and MMA

Boseman, 43, was seemingly a huge fan of MMA and was reportedly trained in the sport.

During the time, Conor McGregor posted a picture on Instagram and reflected on Boseman’s MMA training, citing how he has adapted new techniques.

No! He wasn’t planning to step in the cage. But he practiced martial arts to gear up for his role in Black Panther.

As per ‘The Notorious’, Boseman trained in MMA, boxing, and endurance styled training. Although he is no longer with us, his legacy will live forever with the fans.
