The news came on the backdrop of a heavyweight trilogy between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic. Not only did Miocic retain his belt, but he also cemented his status as the UFC heavyweight GOAT. During the fight, Jones was highly active on Twitter. As soon as the fight ended, he claimed that he was too fast and strong for Stipe Miocic.

Jon Jones claims of clearing the light-heavyweight division
Jones had a long run as the 205-pound champ that was split into multiple parts due to his own troubles outside the Octagon. Regardless, when he was the champ he fought every legitimate contender there was and put them away as well. While some of them like the one against Alexander Gustafsson was very close, Jones managed to come out on top every time.

Now that he is about to embark on a new phase, Jones is trying his best to hype up the same.
I’ve had only three close fights in the last decade, it’s safe to say the light heavy weight division has been cleared. Now I enter the heavyweight division when it’s at its all time best…

While the heavyweight division is top-heavy, not many would consider it to be at an all-time best. Stipe Miocic is the most successful heavyweight champ in the divisional history. Francis Ngannou is one of the scariest knockout artists in UFC history.

Apart from them, the division mostly consists of veterans such as Junior Dos Santos or potential contenders such as Curtis Blaydes and Jairzinho Rozenstruik who are yet to fully stamp their authority.
