‘The Chosen One’ went on to state that he is now as hungry as he was when striving to make a name for himself as a professional fighter.

“Because I’m taking the fight game and really my focus is set back to the amateur Tyron Woodley that was trying to turn professional that wanted to fight in the UFC that wanted to be a champion that wanted to reign, that wanted to be the greatest. And I’m up for everything right now.”

The 38-year-old further goes on to state how he has altered his career goals.

“For the rest of my career, just winning is never going to be enough anymore. I’ve made that commitment to myself, to my coaches, my family. That if I’m out there, you’re gonna get maximum effort, you gonna get maximum performance every single time I fight It’s not because it’s Gilbert or because I lost my last fight and it’s not because I want a title shot.

“It’s because I’m capable of it. And if you capable of it and you don’t do it then what are you out there for. So I’m gonna go out there for every single fight of my career and will let everybody know that I’m the best.”
