After his fight with Leon Edwards fell apart, Tyron Woodley is left without an opponent. Recently, the ‘Chosen One’ said that he is willing to fight for three consecutive weeks.

Tyron Woodley has been a top welterweight for a while now. He has demolished top names in the sport. With his incredible striking and wrestling prowess, Woodley managed to conquer the welterweight championship and retain it for four consecutive times. His last fight, however, did not live up to the expectations.

Kamaru Usman dominated Woodley for five straight rounds. Post-fight, Tyron blamed the loss on his other commitments—music career—besides fighting. Since then, he has been rallying for a rematch.

Tyron Woodley wants 3 opponents in 3 weeks

Woodley may have not got his rematch with Usman but, he received an opportunity to fight another top contender – Leon Edwards (UFC Fight Night 171). However, due to the Coronavirus, that match was canceled.

With a full training camp, Woodley then turned his head towards long time rival, Colby Covington. But that fight did not materialize either. A recent post by TMZ Sports states that Woodley is ready to fight 1 opponent every Saturday for 3 consecutive weeks.

Furthermore, Tyron said that he is in contact with the UFC to fight on May 9. With no sports operating at this moment, Woodley thinks of it as a great opportunity to draw in a huge number of PPV buys. He believes that three back to back wins will cement him as the greatest of all time in the UFC. And as far as the ‘Fight Island’ is concerned, Woodley is down to fight over there as well.

“I feel like I should have fought Usman off the flip as a rematch. Then, I was supposed to fight Colby. But if you think about it Usman was never in a position to fight me. It was always supposed to be Colby. Colby had the interim belt, remember?” Woodley told TMZ Sports.

It seems like the rivalry between Covington and Woodley has reignited. Previously, Colby made absurd comments such as feeding Woodley to the sharks. With both men interested to fight each other, do you think Woodley vs Colby will happen in the future?
