The Notorious Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov have clashed multiple times in the past. Whether it has been personal insults or call outs, these two have birthed a formidable rivalry.

This classic video highlights the measures McGregor took to agitate the Dagestani phenom. Arguably, a difficult name to pronounce, McGregor as usual took it a step further by completely butchering Khabib’s name.

Conor McGregor and his ‘Notorious’ insults
However, this is far better than the extremely personal insults exchanged over the past few years. This beef famously started when Khabib slapped one of McGregor’s teammates.
Conor followed up by assaulting a bus during one of UFC’s events. McGregor indirectly hurt several fighters, while Khabib stayed inside.
This point was brought up several times during press conferences between Khabib and Conor. However, The Eagle revealed that McGregor had pulled up with a huge mob to hurt Khabib and his team.
The rivalry reached its peak during their encounter in the octagon. Khabib dominated the fight and choked McGregor out in the 4th round at UFC 229.
What ensued afterward was absolute chaos. Members of Khabib’s team hopped the fence and landed punches on Conor. In addition, Khabib vaulted out of the cage to go after Dillon Danis, who had spoken ill about Khabib.
This incident highlights how personal both fighters got. McGregor never shied away from insulting Khabib’s family, in fact, he even insulted the 31-year-old’s wife, something that seemed rather uncalled for.
Thankfully, the numerous insults have died down. However, both fighters are infamous for trolling each other occasionally.
McGregor has been calling out for a fight against Khabib ever since his loss. The Notorious one made his return earlier this year and bulldozed Cowboy Cerrone.
However, Conor has announced his retirement since, expressing his disappointment with UFC’s matchmaking. Despite all the personal insults exchanged, fight fans are hoping to see these two fight each other one last time.
