Marvin Vettori has been calling fellow middleweights left and right on Twitter. He had also called out former UFC middleweight champ Anderson Silva. The UFC legend will fight Uriah Hall next month. Vettori is not happy with the booking and blasted both Silva and Hall on Twitter.
Marvin Vettori last stepped foot inside the Octagon in June earlier this year against Karl Roberson. He won the catchweight bout, courtesy of Roberson missing weight, via a first-round rear-naked choke. The victory took his win streak to three in the promotion. Moreover, his last defeat came against the divisional kingpin Israel Adesanya, that too via a close split decision.

Vettori is looking to capitalize on the momentum that he is currently riding. However, he isn’t able to secure an opponent for the same. He has called out a number of fellow middleweights such as Jared Cannonier, Jack Hermansson, and Chris Weidman among others. However, every time the outcome has been the same.
Given all this, the 26-year old couldn’t control himself when he got to know about Anderson Silva vs Uriah Hall. After not getting the fight, Vettori wants himself to be ahead of the two in the UFC rankings.
Hall vs Silva 🤦🏼♂️ if you avoid a fight you should automatically give up your position. Both these guys haven’t accepted. Put me ahead @Mickmaynard2 @ufc

Fights that make the most sense for Marvin Vettori in the future
If you believe veteran MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz, who also happens to manage Vettori, the Italian is the most avoided man in the UFC. Regardless, by looking at where he stands right now in the UFC rankings, it makes more sense for him to gradually work his way up.
This is the most avoided man in the UFC today. If you don’t believe me ask the boss himself @Mickmaynard2 https://t.co/lIdNuFDlaD

Both Edmen Shahbazyan and Omari Akhmedov are coming off losses in their respective outing. Moreover, they are currently ahead of Vettori in the rankings. A fight with them makes a lot of sense for him. However, he will have to wait for some more time before he can get his hands on either of them, given that both have fought recently.

In addition to these two names, the former champion Chris Weidman also presents a viable opportunity for Vettori. ‘The Italian Dream’ realizes this and hence has been campaigning aggressively for a fight against Weidman. If he is willing to wait for a few months, Weidman is one of the best possible opponents for him in the future.
