Loma Lookboonmee became the first Thai fighter to sign with the UFC. She is currently on a two-fight win streak and most recently defeated Sam Hughes. She dominated Hughes throughout the fight and won it by unanimous decision. The Thai fighter is 3-1 in her UFC career and a win in her next fight can help her push for bigger fights.

Lupita Godinez came into the UFC as an undefeated fighter and was 5-0 in her career. However, her debut in the promotion didn’t exactly go as planned, and lost to Jessica Penne via a split decision. She bounced back from the loss and won her next fight via submission, but couldn’t keep the momentum going and lost her next fight. The next one is a tough matchup. If she can get through that, it will be a boost for her confidence. This is her third fight in 43 days as she stepped in for Cheyanne Buys on less than two weeks’ notice.

UFC Fight Night 198: Loma Lookboonmee vs. Lupita Godinez

Loma Lookboonmee throws a lot of strikes and lands them with great accuracy. She lands 58 percent of her significant strikes and also lands 5.27 of them per minute. She is strong in the clinch as well and likes to dominate the fight. Taking her down is a difficult task as she has a 77 percent takedown defense.

Lupita Godinez is a grappler and looks and shoots for a takedown at every opportunity. Her takedown defense is also at 86 percent, so it is difficult to take her down. However, there’s nothing much she offers on her feet. The Thai fighter will outwork her on the feet and look to close the distance.

The matchup favors Lookboonme, and she should be able to get the win with little hassle.
