Money does not motivate someone who is an accomplished and well to do individual like Conor McGregor. The love of the game and the determination to be better is what keeps McGregor going.

There have been talks of McGregor hanging his gloves up for good, for no one fights forever. So as a back-up plan McGregor successfully set up some lucrative business ventures to ensure a steady flow of income after his retirement.

McGregor claims he is fortunate enough to own businesses like Proper No. 12 and August McGregor. The former being a brand of Irish whiskey and the latter being a luxury clothing brand.

Conor McGregor On His Immediate Future

McGregor is seemingly at the top of his game coming off a freak knockout against Donald Cerrone. His hunt for someone to throw down with is afoot and many names have come up.

His win over Cerrone opens up a wide array of possibilities for the Irishman. He can continue fighting at Welterweight division. For his win over Cerrone clearly shows that he can thrive in that weight class. Therefore Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal may become his next challenges.

McGregor following his fight against Floyd “Money” Mayweather has been pushing for a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov. McGregor’s fervor to take on The Eagle can be traced back to his loss against the Dagestani fighter back in 2018. However, Khabib and his team are reluctant to give the Irishman an opportunity to redeem himself.

There has been a lot of chatter about McGregor taking on the winner of the title fight between Khabib and Tony Ferguson. However, one name that stands out is that of Justin Gaethje. The American is quite optimistic about bagging a fight against the Notorious One.
