Dan Hooker has registered himself as one of the deadliest lightweights from the existing UFC roster in the recent times, boasting a pro record of 20-9. However, Dan Hooker’s latest appearance against Dustin Poirier in June did not prove to be fruitful as ‘The Diamond’ snatched away the victory from Hooker via unanimous decision.

Dan Hooker was on a three-fight win streak until he met Dustin Poirier inside the octagon. Despite that, Dan Hooker will once again try to get back into the 150 lbs title mix and the ‘Hangman’ has potentially revealed his upcoming plans to the fans. Hooker,30, recently took to Instagram and revealed what exactly is missing from his fight regime.

“My whole approach needs to change,” wrote Dan Hooker on social media

Dan Hooker newly posted a picture of him and Dustin Poirier from their last fight and explained that he is “missing the championship mindset” right now. According to Dan Hooker, he has lost a lot of fights inside the cage but is still “undefeated”. No wonder, Dan Hooker’s social media post has already garnered the fan’s attention with UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya showering his love into the comment section.

“My whole approach needs to change. Being a nasty son of a gun that loves to scrap got me this far. But I’m missing a huge piece of the puzzle, the “championship mindset”. I experienced it against Poirier and I saw it last night with Volk. To everyone on this journey with me, I will make the necessary adjustments and be back stronger than ever. I have lost many times, but remain” wrote Dan Hooker.

Although Dan Hooker lost his last fight against Poirier, there’s no denying he put on a show for the fans. “Hooker vs Poirier” was an extremely close contest and a lot of MMA pundits have already labeled it as one of the greatest fights of this year. Despite putting enormous efforts inside the octagon, Dan Hooker failed to notch the win against Poirier. The judges scored the contest 48-47, 48-47, 48-46 to declare Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier as the winner.
