Rafael Dos Anjos has taken to Twitter and called for the biggest super fight in MMA at the moment. The former lightweight champion called out Conor McGregor to a fight that will presumably take place at Welterweight. Dos Anjos was booked to fight Conor McGregor back in 2016 at UFC 196.

The fight fell through as RDA suffered a broken foot in the lead-up to the highly anticipated lightweight fight. Nate Diaz would step in on short notice for RDA and the rest, as they say, is history.

MMA fans have long wondered about a way a fight between Rafael Dos Anjos and Conor McGregor would play out.  The stylistic match-up between the two offers compelling evidence of a fan-friendly battle.

The Evolve MMA fighter has gone through the gauntlet of UFC competition and has never failed to be competitive. His 29-13 record may be deceiving as RDA has faced multiple champions and contenders. The 35-year-old has entered the twilight of his career and yet put on competitive bouts each time he fights.

No fight in the UFC is as lucrative as fighting Conor McGregor. ’The Notorious One’ brings in a massive casual fan base to every fight and makes the outing financially viable.

The Welterweight division is currently stacked with hungry contenders waiting to secure a fight. Although both fighters can fight at either 155 or 170 pounds, RDA has mentioned that cutting weight is not what it once was.

It is still uncertain whether RDA well is able to coax Mcgregor out of retirement.
