UFC bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo sent a stern warning to former champion Cody Garbrandt on social media. Garbrandt revealed on Saturday that he intends to drop a weight class after his next bout. Garbrnadt previously held the bantamweight belt, only to lose the title to Tj Dillashaw.

However, the news of ‘No love’ dropping to a new weight class wasn’t received well by Cejudo. Triple C has had a stronghold in the division for quite some time. He has put away top fighters such as Dillashaw, Moraes, and Demtrious Johnson and is on a 5 win-win streak. Cody, on the other hand, has lost his last three fights and will be the underdog if the two were to face off.

“Henry Cejudo, if you are calling the shots i’ll see you soon”-Cody Garbrandt

“We will see you. If you are calling the shots and picking your fights. Then I’ll see you soon. We all know when you’re the champ you call the shots. No easy way out for you at any weight class.” Said Garbrandt

Despite the war of words between the two fights, both of them have something in common. The fighters are represented by the same manager Ali Abdelaziz and Dominance MMA. Abdelaziz was dragged into the exchange between the two, with Cejudo claiming the manager ‘bends Garbrandt over with both knees”.

The fighter has received a lot of criticism for the choice of opponent, but Jose Aldo can’t be overlooked. Despite his rocky start in the division, Aldo is a legend in the sport and his track record over the years proves it.

With Henry Cejudo calling the shots in the division, a match-up between the former champ and the current champion isn’t far fetched.
