Paulo Costa Bashes Dan Hardy For Criticizing Him

Top-rated middleweight prospect Paulo Costa is almost on the verge of bagging a title shot next against champion Israel Adesanya at UFC 253. The Brazilian has showcased extreme prowess in his UFC journey, boasting an undefeated MMA record of 13-0 right now.

However, Costa has seemingly indulged himself in another social media banter newly. And it’s not against any of his fellow contenders. Former UFC fighter Dan Hardy and Paulo Costa recently voiced their opinion over each other. And both the men spat venomously through words.

No, Costa is not going to face Dan Hardy, we all know that. However, the Brazilian seemingly fired back, after being criticized harshly by the Briton. Retired UFC contender turned commentator, Hardy recently analyzed the current 185 lbs division. And went on to predict that ‘Borrachinha’ imposes no threat to Adesanya, Whittaker or Till. No wonder, the Brazilian middleweight did not take it quite lightly.

While interacting with UFC on BT Sport, Dan Hardy pictured the possible structure of the Middleweight division. After the succession of UFC Fight Night’ Whittaker vs Till’. As per ‘The Outlaw’, Whittaker surely deserves to bag a rematch against Adesanya, if he beats Till on June 25. However, Hardy also appeared fine with Darren Till bagging the shot, if the Brit secures a win against Whittaker.

No wonder, it may seem absurd to many as Costa is currently the number 2 ranked middleweight. And is only behind Whittaker. However, to validate his claims Dan Hardy belittled Costa’s threat to the current middleweight roster.

“So, I won’t be against the rematch for Whittaker if he gets the win here. But at the same time, if Till gets the win, I absolutely want to see that fight against Adesanya. And I will be honest, as dangerous Paulo Costa is. I just think he is a more reckless version, a striking version of Yoel Romero.

I don’t think he composes the same type of problems to any of these guys. I mean of course, if he catches you, he can knock you out. If he does not catches you, you can probably make him look quite silly.

“I think all three of these guys have got the skill and ability to make Paulo Costa look like a powerlifter, which is really what he is in comparison to martial artists,” said Dan Hardy.

In response, Paulo ‘The Eraser’ Costa gave a cheeky message. He didn’t bash Dan Hardy. Rather ignored the former Brit fighter in fashion. “Who is the F**K is that gay”. “Guy I mean,” wrote Paulo Costa, bringing the ‘Conor McGregor vibe’ in the 185 lbs roster.
