Paulo Costa Compares Usain Bolt to Israel Adesanya in Comic Rant

Israel Adesanya and Paulo Costa’s back and forth will finally reach its conclusion when the pair will lay it all out in the octagon on September 26 at UFC 253. This is a match made in heaven from a stylistic point of view. Israel is the more precise striker with impeccable timing. Costa, on the other hand, is aggressive with one punch knockout power in both hands.
The pair share a combined mindboggling record of 32-0. Both fighters have yet to taste defeat and definitely don’t plan on doing so come fight night. “The Last Stylebender” and “Borrachinha” have not been the most polite to each other.

They have been hurling accusations, criticisms and jokes at each other for a long time now. Adesanya has always joked that Costa consumes performances enhancing substances. Paulo, on the other hand, has made fun of Israel’s skinny frame.
After the Champ’s recent title defense, however, #2 ranked middleweight found new content to poke Adesanya with. Both Yoel and Israel were cautious and did not engage recklessly, which did not go down well with Paulo. The Brazilian stated that the recent title defense was “shameful” and that The Nigerian born Adesanya will not stand and fight with him. Rather, he would be running around. The Brazilian also stated that the champion is scared of his Physique.

In a recent interview, the challenger was asked: “What kind of fight do you expect from Adesanya, do you think he will be more offensive or more defensive like he was with Yoel?” to which Costa replied saying “I think he will be like Romero, more running. I don’t know if you know but Usain Bolt the fastest man in the world got the coronavirus. I wish the best for him, good recovery for him but with this news, now Adesanya is the number one fastest man in the world”

While we don’t know how the fight will play out right now, one thing is for sure the trash talk by both men has been extremely entertaining to the build-up of this fight.
