Paulo Costa Responds to Israel Adesanya’s Threats- Says “USADA Never Came to Test Me!”

Paulo Costa and Israel Adesanya have had yet another back-and-forth on social media, after the middleweight champion mocked him in an interview regarding his USADA tests.

While the duo will collide against each other for the middleweight gold at UFC 253, the buildup has already been intense. Both Costa and Adesanya have belittled each other multiple times, with the latest being the most explosive.

Israel Adesanya has questioned Costa’s relationship with the USADA, and enquired whether they have tested him. To this, Costa had a stunning response, and surprised fans with his words.

Paulo Costa is not going easy on ‘Izzy’ Adesanya

Costa shot heat at Adesanya and mentioned that USADA has never arrived in Brazil to test him. He also sent a stern warning to the champion on Twitter.

While in an interview with Submission Radio. ‘The Last Style Blender’ stated that he had been tested over 30 times, and twice in the last three weeks alone.

“Last time he got tested. He couldn’t give me a straight answer, let’s put it that way. I was tested twice in the last three weeks, at night, because they are trying to catch me off guard.

“It’s the first two times, it is the first time they have ever tested me at night. Where is your t-shirt? I’ve been tested over 30 times, so where is your t-shirt?,” asked Adesanya.

Is Costa being untested throughout?

No, certainly not. USADA has been testing all the athletes and has been a bit too harsh on them at times.

However, Costa still put on some cheek as he appeared to be bossing over the USADA on Twitter. After replying to Adesanya, Costa has also mentioned that he is out of the testing zone.

Even though he claims may be false, Costa has surely intensified the rivalry between him and Adesanya, prior to UFC 253. The PPV battle between them will happen on September 26. However, the venue and the complete fight card are still not up.
