Jon Jones found himself on the wrong side of the law yet again. Charged with DWI, possession of a weapon and more, Jon Jones was arrested early Thursday morning. Fellow fighter Valentina Shevchenko has come out in defense of ‘Bones‘.

The MMA community burst into life with a variety of reactions following the Light Heavyweight Champion’s arrest. However, the common theme seems to be on the lines of disbelief that the fighter is in this position once again.

But Valentina Shevchenko came out in support on Twitter and shared her thoughts on the American fighter. However, other fighters like Colby Covington, Gilbert Burns, and Dominick Reyes were not as compassionate as the 32-year-old Valentina.

Early this year, Jones seemed to have gotten his act together. However, following yesterday’s developments, it seems otherwise.

Jon ‘Bones’ Jones, no longer in custody at the Albuquerque Metropolitan Detention Center, is looking to have a bond arraignment hearing early next month. The arrest comes much too soon after Jones claimed his run-ins with the law were done and dusted for good.

Many fans seem to worry about the fact that this time ‘Bones’ will not be let off the hook as easily as he has in the past. If Jones is found guilty he may be slapped with a punishment much more severe than just a fine.

Jones has a rather long and troubled history with the law. These troubles include hit and run of a pregnant woman, a battery charge, substance abuse, and multiple failed USADA tests as he tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs. This happens to be his second DWI arrest.

The UFC may also decide to strip the light heavyweight champion of his title, leaving the future of the division quite uncertain.
