Henry Cejudo is talking smack again in ways that only he can. The former Bantamweight champion who relinquished his belt following UFC 249 had a few choice words for the new division king Petr Yan. The Russian hit back, but he found that he was wrong if he assumed that ‘Triple C’ would stop. Cejudo lashed out at Yan once more and  suggested an “easy” opponent for ‘No Mercy.’

He responded to the call out and indicated that he was itching to return. However, his desired opponent is someone else entirely.

Cejudo tweeted, “How cute the “rent a champ” is calling me out! Why don’t you take out that dirt Q-tip (Sean O’Malley) that’s easy money. But please (Dana White) give me that overgrown midget (Alexander Volkanovski) I’ll make him bend the knee! = (C4)”

Henry Cejudo is serious about fighting Alexander Volkanovski

He furthered his agenda against the Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski. This follows up his tweet from Saturday night where he claimed that ‘The Great’ stole the win against Max Holloway.

Last month to the duo had an exchange on Twitter. Here the retired fighter claimed ‘The Great’ would not last 2 rounds with him. The comment came in response to the Australian claiming that he viewed the former Olympian as a Featherweight contender.

‘The Messenger’ has been extremely vocal about only making a blockbuster return to the Octagon to compete for an unprecedented third belt. Furthermore, the tweet indicates that ‘Triple C’ is done at 135lbs and shows that he is serious about potentially going for a “quadruple C.”

Meanwhile, Sean O’Malley who was part of Cejudo’s post is notching up fights at a quick rate in the UFC. He competed at UFC 248 and at UFC 250 he landed a spectacular no-look KO that saw him burst into the Bantamweight rankings. He will open proceedings against Marlon Vera at the massive UFC 252 card which features the Daniel Cormier-Stipe Miocic trilogy.

In a stacked Bantamweight division, ‘Sugar’ will have to consistently overcome some top contenders before earning a title shot. It remains to be seen how the youngster responds to the former champion branding him as an “easy money” fight. Yan who became the divisional champion will most likely defend against Aljamain Sterling next.

There are a lot of potential fights that fans can get from here. Also, social media exchanges will be excellent.

Do you see Petr Yan having a long reign? Will Sean O’Malley prove to be easy pickings for the top-ranked bantamweight fighters? And will the UFC grant Henry Cejudo the opportunity to make Alexander Volkanovski “bend the knee?”
