Robert Whittaker is ready to fight Israel Adesanya at 185 and even 205. The former champion lost his title to Adesanya at UFC 243. However, with wins over Darren Till and Jared Cannonier, Whittaker has gotten himself back in title contention.

Whittaker sat down with MMA media to discuss his plans. Before the fight with Cannonier, UFC president Dana White speculated that the winner would be next in line to fight champion Adesanya.

Stylebender seems to have other plans on his mind. After his dominating finish of Paulo Costa, Adesanya and his camp have set their sights on moving up to 205.

Whittaker, however, was not too pleased. An impressive unanimous decision win over Cannonier should guarantee a title shot against Adesanya.

Whittaker, however, is willing to fight Adesanya at light heavyweight as well. “Yeah if he wins I’ll go up there and fight him, I don’t care.”

A move to 205 would not be an easy decision to make as the division holds the likes of Blachowicz, Thiago Santos, Glover Teixeira, Anthony Smith to name a few.
