Sean O’Malley and Cody Garbrandt are back at it again. The duo went after each other on Instagram.
O’Malley and Garbrandt have developed quite a rivalry. It all started at UFC 250 when both men scored incredible knockouts in their respective matches. Fans were quick enough to realize that a potential match between the two knockout artists would be fireworks.

They discounted the fact that both men are on the opposite ends of the rankings.
However, it did not stop the fighters from going back-and-forth online. Recently, Sean posted a picture of himself on Instagram with a caption that says, “Codys step dad.” Well, this got the attention of the former champion. Cody wasted no time to respond to Sean.

While fans would love to see these two battle it out, the fight is a distant reality. In the past, Cody Garbrandt has said that he would like to see Sean O’Malley fight higher ranked contenders in the bantamweight division.
“He goes out there and performs against these guys like he’s supposed to, but let’s be honest. He’s not doing that to a top 10 guy, top 15 guy, top 5 guy and until he’s able to do that, then we can start thinking about him,” Cody Garbrandt told Brett Okamoto.

Besides that, Cody will move down to flyweight division to fight the newly crowned champion, Deiveson Figueiredo. Figueiredo vs Garbrandt will take place on November 21, 2020. The venue is yet to be announced. The card will also feature Valentina Shevchenko vs Jennifer Maia.
And as far as Sean O’Malley is concerned, he will fight Marlon Vera in a few days. Originally, this bout was supposed to take place over a year ago. But it failed to materialize. Nevertheless, they will finally collide at UFC 252, a card that is headlined by Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic.
