“So Lucky to Have These Guys”- Daniel Cormier Pays a Tribute to Cain Velasquez and Luke Rockhold

The legend of Daniel Cormier stands at its final chapter as the 41-year-old edges closer to his trilogy fight with Stipe Miocic.
After this fight, DC proposes to hang the gloves. After all, he has been around the Octagon for quite some time now. He started training in MMA after his Olympics stint in 2008 and has been part of the evolving sport ever since.

One thing that has remained constant in his MMA tenure is his gym. Cormier began training in Mixed Martial Arts at American Kickboxing Academy. And AKA helped him hone his skills and scale the heights of the unbelievable success that he has today.
The former UFC Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight started training with Cain Velasquez as soon as he picked up MMA, along with Jon Fitch and many others. Soon, more names like Luke Rockhold joined and together they became staples of the gym.
Cormier took to Twitter to commemorate his journey with the American Kickboxing Academy and his fellow fighters.

Will Daniel Cormier close the curtains with a new title?
DC has been waiting to conclude his trilogy with Stipe Miocic for a long time. As soon as Miocic took back the Heavyweight title from DC in their rematch, DC felt he had a point to prove.

Even though Cormier accepts that Stipe is a formidable striker, he said that he should not have lost that fight.

While in their first fight DC finished ‘The Silencer‘ inside the first round, Stipe returned a year later to avenge his defeat by winning via TKO in the fourth round of their rematch.
DC announced soon after the fight that he would retire only after his fight with Stipe. And thus, he will be looking for a memorable end of his one-of-a-kind legacy.
