“That was not the fault of the judges that was the fault of the system. 10-9 mark is a fraud way to judge a fight. It is really simple. “If you watch it without 10-9 process you would think Max Holloway won the fight, I guess that’s how you would say that but obviously he did not. “You watch the full fight which is how you score the championship.”

“One and two are relatively clear for Hollway, four and five are relatively clear for Volkanovski. Three was like for me is as close as it gets. I mean I think I said like I have no idea who won that round or something like that but then again when I scored the fighters that I had 3-2 for Holloway but I am really not all convinced on that one because you know it was so close. So, yeah 10-9 mark system guys”  said Ben Askren.

UFC president Dana White has also stated that the co-headliner of UFC 251 was misjudged and has already talked about lining up Max Holloway opposite Alexander Volkanovski for the third time inside the octagon. However, considering the fact that both the contests were ‘lose-call’, Dana White is seemingly planning to set up a rubber match between two of his A-listed featherweight prospects.
