On an IGTV post just a matter of hours before the fight card, Askren broke down his picks for the victors.

Askren said, “Mackenzie Dern is a really strong favorite, and she did not look very good in her last fight at all. If Hannah Cifers can stuff her takedown and that’s a big ‘If’ I think she’s definitely going to win that fight.”

Dern, who is coming off her first career defeat, is a highly touted prospect in the UFC. Her formidable background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu makes her a dangerous ground fighter.
‘Shockwave’ Cifers, who is also coming off a loss, looks to bounce back in her returning effort. Known for crisp boxing, she will look to keep away from the ground against a specialist like Mackenzie Dern.

Ben Askren went on to say, “I think that Tyron is going to win. I like Blagoy, he’s the freaking man. Those three fights are good and obviously bet on Tyron for that safe money, but I’ve been wrong before.”
Ben Askren playing it safe?
Askren backing Woodley comes as no surprise since the two have a long relationship together. Training partners and friends, Woodley was seen alongside the former Olympian throughout his short but memorable UFC Stint.

Askren has seemingly sided with the Vegas odds on this one. Woodley and Ivanov are both considerable favorites coming into this Main card.
There is an appreciable focus on the Woodley vs Burns fight. Woodley, who is a favorite on the feet, will have to be wary against the underrated ground game of Burns. ‘Durhino’, who has trained with Kamaru Usman, is coming in with 5 straight wins, most recently against Demian Maia.
