Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou are peeved with the UFC over their apparent stinginess over a blockbuster fight. Dana White addressed the issue saying, “the amount of money he was asking for, it’s not going to happen. He couldn’t be asking for a more absurd amount of money at a worse time.” However, ‘Bones’ slammed the UFC President for his false statements.

Jon Jones lashes out at Dana White

The top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter retweeted Dana White’s clip where he addressed the issue.

Bones wrote, “It’s interesting to just sit here and watch your boss lie to the camera like this. We never discussed any increase in pay. Immediately the conversation was that I already made enough. I never made a number offer.”

Later, the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion indicated that he was done negotiating a move to Heavyweight. However, he urged White to be honest with the UFC’s legion of fans.

“If you’re not going to change my contract for the heavyweight move, at least have the decency to be honest with the fans.”

Finally, ‘Bones’ didn’t mince his words as he described the interview. He felt it was his need to ensure his boss does not get away with his false statements.

“I was over the situation, but I’m not gonna sit back and allow Dana to lie to the fans. I never asked for an absurd amount of money. That’s bulls**t.

“Absolute bulls**t,” finished ‘Bones.’

In coming out against Dana White, ‘Bones’ has seemingly replied to Daniel Cormier too. Earlier in the week, ‘DC’ asked Jones, “What’s the number?” As it turns out, there is no number, with the UFC balking merely at the mention of a raise.

However, despite hinting at a hiatus from the sport, ‘Bones’ continues to work out ahead of a return to the Octagon. He looks all set to defend his Light Heavyweight Championship against Jan Blachowicz.

What is your take on the UFC over avoiding the Super Fight and supposedly lying about it? Is ‘Bones’ right in calling out Dana White over his comments?
