The UFC unveiled a new title belt before UFC 244. Christened as the BMF title it was specially commissioned for the Jorge Masvidal vs Nate Diaz fight. ‘Gamebred’ won the fight after the doctor stoppage in the 3rd round. Subsequently, he was crowned the BMF and presented the title by none other than Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Nate Diaz slams The Rock

In a video Tweeted by UFC on BT Sport, Diaz gave fans his take on who would have been a more appropriate choice to present the belt.

“Mike Tyson should have been here anyway. He’s the baddest man on the planet. Right? He should’ve been the one. He should’ve been over here.”

Later he attempted to clarify himself with a chuckle and said…

“I’m here hurting on The Rock, huh? You guys caught me at a bad time, but you know what I’m saying. The Rock’s cool. I like ‘Ballers.’ But he picked the wrong side, so he can get his ass whooped too. With all due respect, he can get it, too.”

The Rock responded by posting images of him and ‘Gamebred’ on social media.

The duo has not set foot in the Octagon after their BMF title clash. ‘Gamebred’ is next in line to challenge the UFC Welterweight Champion Kamaru Usman. However, there are allegations that he is pricing himself out of the fight. Leading these are his ATT teammate and former friend Colby Covington. ‘Chaos’ and ‘Gamebred’ have a well-publicized feud. Could we see a fight between the two down the line where they let their fighting talk?

Nate Diaz is rumored to be the next opponent for Conor McGregor. This is largely due to the uncertainty surrounding the UFC Lightweight Championship with ‘Notorious’ not having a worthy opponent.

When can we see ‘Gamebred’ and ‘The Stockton Slugger’ back? Is it possible for fans to get a BMF title rematch between the two?
