

UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya took to Twitter and spoke out on the impact of the Black lives matter movement. As is with everything he does, the 185-pound champion sculpted passive-aggressive signaling, which was well received. The comments come off the back of Juneteenth, which celebrates the emancipation of those who were enslaved in the USA.
‘The Last Stylebender’ has been a vocal protester in the recent movement for change surrounding black lives. Following the death of George Floyd due to police mistreatment, the nation imploded in protest.

Several athletes from different sports leagues came together and began supporting their local black communities. In light of the outcry, change began spreading far beyond the states, as many other nations banded together. Not to mention, Israel Adesanya led the charge in his home country of New Zealand. He was also involved in a UFC statement video against police brutality and systemic racism.

The Middleweight King has never been one to shy away from the camera and speak his mind. Adesanya worded a thoughtful post on his social media accounts to relay the importance of a new beginning.

Most of us are focused on the manufactured riots, co-vid 19, and whatever else the cameras focus on. Meanwhile, the elephant in the room is right there but no one dares to look at it and lord Voldemort aka she who shall not be named. Issaokay, don’t pay me no mind. Israel Adesanya is one of the most popular and influential fighters on the UFC roster today. Additionally, he continues to use his large platform to speak for change within marginalized communities.
