Eventually, ‘The Predator‘ made his way into the UFC. He accumulated knockout victories over top heavyweights and became a megastar in the company. Ngannou also fought for a world title but fell short. As of now, he is on a 3 fight win streak.

Amidst all the glory and fame, Ngannou has not forgotten his roots. The Cameroonian native wants the UFC to put up events in Africa.

In the past, the UFC has stated its intentions to travel to Africa. With 2 Nigerian born champions—Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman—Ngannou thinks that the company will most likely hold its first African fight card in Nigeria.

Francis Ngannou is unsure of the date

“From now, I don’t know when will be the event,” Ngannou told MMA Junkie. “I think it will be in either Nigeria or Cameroon. But for now, I’d say Nigeria, because Nigeria has two UFC champions.

“I think if they’re about to go to Africa, they should honor those fighters and which is mainly, as I said, two champions from Nigeria, which is a lot. From seven fighters, two champions are from Nigeria.”
