Although a  bizarre situation, White has proved once again he’s capable of pulling off any event irrespective of circumstances. UFC 249 has undergone several obstacles, with the major one being Khabib Nurmagomedov pulling out. Despite this major loss Justin Gaetjhe has stepped in to replace ‘The Eagle’ and is a very worthy contender for the interim belt.

However, despite the positive news, there are several concerns regarding the health and safety of fighters. The availability of medical facilities at the undisclosed island is a  doubt. Also, the risk fighters are taking to compete amidst the pandemic is a concern. Despite the concerns, White assured that all these factors have been taken into consideration.

“The health and safety of not just the athletes , the athletic commission and the referees that will be there. I’m going to be there , my production team will  be there. We are going above and beyond to make sure everyone’s taken care off”. said White
