He has fought for the championship before, the ‘Predator’ took on Stipe Miocic for the undisputed heavyweight title in January 2018. However, due to overconfidence and lack of preparedness, Miocic schooled Ngannou. His next fight wasn’t any better.

Nevertheless, Ngannou made a successful turnaround and racked up victories after his fight against Derrick Lewis. He defeated Curtis Blaydes, Cain Velasquez, and Junior dos Santos.

Francis Ngannou does not care about a title shot

With Dana White wanting to book a trilogy match between Stipe and Daniel Cormier, the heavyweight division is hung at the moment. Although the President said that Ngannou vs Rozenstruik is a title eliminator bout, Ngannou is having none of it.

“Honestly, I don’t know. I thought my last fight was for the title shot. I thought this fight would be for the title fight but it didn’t happen. So I don’t know,” Ngannou said during UFC 249 Virtual Media Day.
