UFC 249 will mark the return of the titans in the heavyweight division-Francis Ngannou and  Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Both fighters are on an incredible run of form. Ngannou destroyed Junior Dos Santos last time around, while Rozenstruik has managed to maintain his perfect record.

Despite, Jairzinho   dominance in the octagon, most predict Ngannou will knock him out in the early rounds. The Predator is renowned for his sheer strength and devastating knockout power. Standing at a massive 6’4, Ngannou expertly uses his size and reach to deliver a killer blow. Undoubtedly the most powerful man in the division, his kicks, and jawbreaking punches are something ‘Bigi Boy’ must look out for.

Francis has been relatively quiet, in the lead up to the fight, with Jairzinho  doing most of the talking. Rozenstruik even suggested that they consider putting up an interim belt for this fight.

His excellent counter punches and endurance has helped him beat top fighters such as Andrei Arlovski and Alistair Overeem. ‘Bigi Boy’ has been doing most of the trash talking and given his perfect record he has the right to do so. Rozenstruik’s main strength would be to utilize his excellent kickboxing. He’s not an overly aggressive fighter and is unlikely to take the fight to Ngannou. He will look to defend and counter and use his endurance to his advantage

Prediction:

My pick for the fight is Francis Ngannou. His reach and gut-wrenching power might be a challenge  cannot overcome. Moreover, given that Ngannou has tasted defeat in the past, it does give him more experience in terms of dealing with difficult situations. After UFC 249 we might see an end to Jairzinho Rozenstruik’s   perfect record.
