At UFC 251, Yan put up an amazing performance. The Russian destroyed featherweight legend Jose Aldo to claim the vacant bantamweight strap. Although Aldo started strong, Yan picked up the pace in the later rounds. The power of Yan became evident in the fourth and fifth rounds.

Yan showed “No Mercy” to the Brazilian as he made the legend bathe in his own blood. Unfortunately for Aldo, the referee did not stop the fight in time. As a result, the 33-year-old took a lot of unnecessary punishment.

It took a while for Yan to respond to Cejudo. But he absolutely nailed it. The 27-year-old fighter trashed Cejudo for retiring and choosing the “easier option.”

Yan is visibly disinterested in fighting Cejudo. One of his previous comments hinted that beating Cejudo was never his goal. In fact, it was all about the belt. For now, Yan has a lot of hurdles to conquer in front of him. His division is one of the most stacked weight classes in the UFC. Aljamain Sterling seems to be the next fight for Yan. And even Yan agrees with it.
