Less than 24 hours ago, Mounir Lazzez handed Abdul Razak Alhassan his second professional loss. Soon after the fight, the Tunisian called out welterweight contender, Mike Perry.

Mounir Lazzez made his promotional debut against a dangerous opponent — Abdul Razak Alhassan — at UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs Ige. After weathering an early storm by Alhassan, Mounir took over the fight and won via a unanimous decision.

During the post-fight press conference, Lazzez revealed that he had no nerves going into the fight, even though it was his first match in the world’s largest MMA organization.

“It’s weird I feel normal because I have been seeing this in my mind. It’s just a moment, I feel it. Just like any other fight. I felt calm and composed. In the beginning, we get two-three punches, we go to the grappling, you know?”

Moreover, Lazzez said that visualization — a technique extensively used by Conor McGregor — helped him to achieve his goal. He stated that he was visualizing his debut for a long time. Hence, he did not feel any pressure. Besides that, Lazzez said that he can fight again in two weeks. He feels ready to face off against anyone in the top fifteen.

“Just give me two weeks’ notice and I can take anyone from the top fifteen. I wanna take my career step by step. But it’s hard nowadays because there is a lot of new talent and they would like to stay busy. So that’s exactly what I am planning — to stay busy as well.”

Lazzez wants to put Mike Perry in his place

Mounir’s teammate Darren Till has a beef with Mike Perry. And Mounir thinks he can take out Perry for Till. When a reporter asked the reason behind the callout, Lazzez said:

“It’s just because my teammate Darren Till has an issue with him. So if one of my team he has a problem with someone, it means he has a problem with all of us.

“I just wanna put him in his place because he’s an idiot. And he’s inspiring the new generation with the idiot stuff he’s doing. I just wanna put him in his place.”
