Roman Dolidze (7-0) will look to continue his perfect record as he returns to the octagon. The Georgian made his UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 172 – Figueiredo vs. Benavidez 2, He recorded a first-round KO of Khadis Ibragimov after he caught Ibragimov with a vicious knee to stop the fight and give him his first-ever UFC win. He will now make his second walk to the UFC octagon and will hope to once again prove he is UFC caliber.
John Allan (13-5-1) made his way to the UFC through Dana White’s contender series. The popular show gives upcoming talent a chance to compete and leave it all on the line in one night for a chance to earn a UFC contract.
Allan, however, lost on the show to Vinicius Moreira Castro via submission but earned himself a fight on UFC Fight Night 155 – De Randamie vs. Ladd. Allan would get a unanimous decision win over Mike Rodriguez but was later reversed to a ‘No Contest’ after testing positive for a banned substance.

UFC Fight Night: Roman Dolidze and John Allan Preview
With Allan’s ban now over, he will look to secure his first win in the UFC. Dolidze, although now 32, has started his MMA career later than others. However, there is no arguing his pedigree as he is an accomplished jiu-jitsu practitioner with vicious knockout power.
Allan, who is the younger but more experienced fighter, will look to use his experience in the octagon to negate the power of Dolidze, while also trying to keep the fight standing. The Brazilian, Allan, does not have the same speed and pop Dolidze possesses. It will be an interesting battle to see where the fight goes.

Allan’s victories have mainly come from TKO/KOs in his fighting career. The Brazilian mixed martial artist absorbs a significant amount of punishment which should favor Dolidze. The Georgian has an obvious route to victory on the ground if he takes it there. However, his fighting style will have him most likely hunt the knockout and land a blow to set up a submission.
