Former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley has not set foot in the Octagon in over a year since losing to Kamaru Usman at UFC 235. Even though rumors suggest that he will headline the May 23rd UFC event against Gilbert Burns, there is no official confirmation from the UFC.  However, ‘The Chosen One’ will appear on television screens this Memorial Day.

UFC Fighter Tyron Woodley will feature on ‘The Titan Games’

A Tweet by Dwayne Johnson introduced the participants for ‘The Titan Games’ as “the best pro-athletes on the planet.”

‘The Titan Games’ shows sees athletes compete in endurance-based challenges. It keeps with the show’s tagline, “Titans aren’t born, They’re Made.”

‘The Chosen One’ is the first UFC representative on the show. However, he can’t claim the honor of being the first Mixed Martial Artist to compete for the title of Titan. This belongs to Welterweight fighter Derick Scott of Shamrock FC, who featured in the inaugural season and finished second overall.

‘The Chosen One’ will no doubt want to better that and emulate James Jean-Louis who became the first male ‘Titan.’ He is game for all challenges and takes them on despite not being so keen on them. Do you see Tyron Woodley calling himself ‘The Chosen Titan’ if he wins?

In the UFC, the former Welterweight Champion and his opponent have seemingly confirmed their matchup via social media posts. Because this is ‘Durinho’s second fight in an empty arena, he will have the advantage. However, discounting ‘The Chosen One’ will be a big mistake as he embarks on the long road back to the Welterweight Title. His experiences at ‘The Titan Games’ too could add an extra dimension to his fighting.
