After shockingly losing his first bout against Cormier via a first-round knockout in 2018, Stipe reclaimed his title with a TKO in the fourth round in their rematch.

He made his first title defense during his second reign as the champion against Cormier in what was the final edition of their trilogy saga this year.

Going ahead, his next bout will most likely be a rematch against the #1 heavyweight contender, Francis “The Predator” Ngannou. Although Stipe won their first fight via unanimous decision, Ngannou has been on a tear lately, having won four fights in a row after his loss to Derrick Lewis.

In addition to that, there have been talks of a potential mega-fight against the former light-heavyweight champion Jon “Bones” Jones after his decision to move up to the heavyweight division was revealed.

The former UFC Heavyweight Champion and current WWE superstar Brock Lesnar is being billed as another potential contender for the heavyweight strap.

With Lesnar being one of the biggest box-office attractions in the UFC, this fight would be a huge payday for Miocic. At a time when there’s so much on his plate, signing with a new agency might be the best decision that Miocic could have made.
