UFC lightweight Beneil Dariush is on a stellar run right now. The number 11 ranked lightweight has won five matches in a row, some of which even earned him performance bonuses. Dariush is using the money for a noble cause as he has opened an orphanage in Haiti.
The UFC had booked a fight between Beneil Dariush and Charles Oliveira for UFC on Fight Island 4. However; the Brazilian pulled out citing personal reasons. Consequently, Dariush was left without a fight. Therefore, he utilized the time by visiting the orphanage he has opened in Haiti.
In a recent interview with MyMMANews, Dariush opened up on the missionary work that he has been carrying out silently. It was six months ago that Dariush had started an orphanage in Haiti. This was around the same time that he had earned a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus at UFC 248.
Dariush defeated Drakkar Klose in the second round of their meeting in March. Subsequently, the UFC handed him $50,000 as a bonus. On the work front, he continued his stellar run with a win over Scott Holtzman in August.

We had the privilege of visiting our friend, pastor Leo, and our orphanage in Haiti. The trip itself was only 4 day with an entire day dedicated to traveling, but the blessings of the trip out weighed all the requirements. I finally got to meet my kids and see their situation. I was so happy to see how well the kids are treated and how much joy they have. I want to thank everyone who donated to our orphanage to make this possible. God bless you ❤️
