

A former UFC fighter recently proved that retirement is not a cakewalk for every fighter. The fighter in question? Tim Gorman.
Gorman was recently arrested on five drug-related charges. Sunday night saw the Buffalo County Police Department taking the UFC veteran in. As things stand right now the Police are holding the fighter on a $250,000 bond.
According to a report from WOWT, a state trooper saw him driving his vehicle on the shoulder of Interstate 80. Following a routine traffic stop, a K-9 unit was sent in on suspicions of “clandestine activity.” Following which the controlled substances were discovered. The incident took place sometime around 7 pm.

The officers took Gorman in on 2 counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver, each. In addition, the police charged him with one count of possession of money while in violation.

According to the report the officers unearthed, “121 pounds of marijuana, six pounds of THC concentrate, two vials of steroids, a small amount of cocaine, and $14,000 in cash.”
As per official records, the police are holding Tim Gorman at the Buffalo County Jail in Kearney, Nebraska. The court expects an appearance from the fighter on June 17.

Gorman’s time in the UFC was rather short and uneventful. Many attribute his shortlived UFC career to bad luck. However, there was more to it than just bad luck.
Even though an injury forced him off The Ultimate Fighter, the promotion brought him back twice to compete inside the octagon.
However, he did not fare successfully in either of his fights. Losing his first fight in the UFC via unanimous decision against Mitch Gagnon in 2014.

He eventually walked into another loss against Thomas Almeida via unanimous decision, yet again. However, he walked away from this fight $50,000 richer after winning the ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus.
