Conor McGregor is one of the most polarizing figures in the UFC. However, nobody can deny that the Irishman has the best work ethic in the company.

McGregor was not always successful and wealthy. He started as an apprentice plumber, but eventually made it into MMA. Within a few years, McGregor made history in the organization by becoming a two-division champion.

The Irish fighter competed in a boxing match against Floyd Mayweather, which resulted in the biggest payday of his life. However, many consider this as a downfall in his career. McGregor indulged in all sorts of vices and lost his vivacity. He tried to recapture the belt, but failed miserably.

As of now, the UFC has no fights scheduled for McGregor. The only fight Dana White is desperate to book is Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Tony Ferguson. So, why is Conor training?

As we know from the past, Khabib vs Tony has fallen apart on multiple occasions. Conor has offered to step in if either man fails to hit the scales for the fifth time. Apart from that, Conor and Khabib have quite the rivalry, as both men famously despise each other.

Since his loss to Khabib in 2018, McGregor is desperate to seek revenge.

Also, Conor may be trying to stay active and healthy for his next fight. Fans of Conor might see him in August at UFC Ireland if the Coronavirus is contained.
