

Daniel Cormier doesn’t have to go through sparring sessions and workouts anymore. The former UFC champion’s days of being a fighter are over, and he has plenty of time to engage in recreational activities of his choosing. However, he has stayed with sports itself, albeit a non-contact one.
Cormier posted a video of himself teeing off at a par 3 hole. He wrote, “Retirement DC swinging clubs baby!!!! This game is so much fun. Already getting better Par 3, 158 yards, 8 iron on the green lol”

Here, he doesn’t have a firm base as he swings the club, but that will come with time as Cormier will work towards excelling in his new hobby. The former fighter poses and surveys the trajectory of the ball akin to professional golfers.
Golf was high on Cormier’s post-retirement plans as he engaged in a golf session at the Aloha Golf Club in Las Vegas in the days leading up to his retirement match.
Over there, as he looked at a few irons, Cormier revealed that he, “used to play (golf) back in the day, but he stopped.”

Here, he practiced his swing a few times and watched the breakdown on a screen. Before swinging, he said, “You learn to fight by fighting and you learn to play by playing.” These words show that he plans to be a student of the game and learn by playing regularly. He will have ample time to do so in the coming days.
Daniel Cormier has no plans of returning to the UFC
‘DC’ thought long and hard about retirement and has withdrawn from the USADA testing pool. Fans can expect to see the 41-year-old engaged in a plethora of leisure activities over the coming days.

He could even consider charity golf appearances, given how big of a name he is in the sporting world.

Many former players like Peyton Manning and Michael Jordan have appeared in charity golf events post-retirement. The prospect of seeing ‘DC’ tee off alongside other sports personalities or professional golfers would be a sight to behold. If not, it is a good hobby to keep him occupied after years of fighting.
