Henry Cejudo has reminded the world yet again why he is the most cringe fighter on the UFC roster. During the post-weigh-in face-off, Cejudo unfolded his latest gimmick.

Both Cejudo and Dominick Cruz made the weight limit for the Bantamweight title fight. Following this, they proceeded for the face-off. Cejudo walked onto the scene wearing a red cap and carrying a bag with himself. What he did later brought a face on the face of Dana White who was standing in between the two.

“Triple C” pulled out something that looked something like a small pillow. However, it had the face of former Flyweight kingpin, Demetrius Johnson. Cejudo gave his opponent a slight look with his eyes. He went on to kick the object in the section where media members were stationed.

He then pulled out another similar piece that had the face of former Bantamweight champ, T.J. Dillashaw. It met the same fate as the previous one after the former Olympic champion kicked it as well. For the closing act, Cejudo pulled out a third one that had the face of his next opponent Dominick Cruz.

Henry’s action was symbolic of the fact that Cruz was bound to meet the same fate as “Mighty Mouse” and Dillashaw. Both of them succumbed at the hands of Cejudo. He will be looking to continue his win streak by ruining through one of the best Bantamweights of all time.

Henry Cejudo has much more to lose than Dominick Cruz at UFC 249

Henry Cejudo was originally planned to fight against Jose Aldo at UFC 250. However, after the Brazilian was stranded in his nation due to travel restrictions, Cruz was brought in as a replacement. The former champ hasn’t competed in more than three years. Moreover, even his last fight was a loss.

As Cruz prepares to step inside the Octagon again, the sky is the limit for what he can achieve against “Triple C”. With just one fight, he can cement his place on the top of the division once again.

And he doesn’t necessarily have to win to achieve the same. He can put up a good fight and people will still remember how he was unaffected by ring rust.

However, if he defeats the former double champ, Cejudo, he betters his claim for the biggest comeback of all time. Before this, Cruz has already come back from a long lay-off and captured the belt by defeating Dillashaw.

On the flip side, Cejudo has everything to lose heading into Saturday. Cejudo claims that he wants to defeat legends. However, if he wins against Cruz, it wouldn’t be viewed in the same light as his former victories.

Fans would still argue that Cruz would have been much better off if he had a tune-up fight against a lower-ranked opponent before fighting Henry.
