While the coronavirus pandemic has wreaked havoc with life all over the world, the UFC bounced back pretty quickly. They held 3 events at Jacksonville last week and will return next week with another event. UFC President Dana White said he will do his best to get back on schedule, which means that fighters will have to be ready. They are doing so and are also posting workout videos regularly on social media. UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones joined the fray too.

Jon Jones shares intense core workout video

The top-ranked pound-for-pound fighter shared the video on Twitter. He is seen doing intense crunches at a gym. ‘Bones’ is clearly focused on chiseling his torso ahead of an impending return to the Octagon. However, ‘Bones’ does have some music to distract him from his rigors.

However, he will not have much distraction in the Octagon as there will be no fans to cheer for him. All he can hope for is words from his coaches and the opposition camp.  In addition, he may also get to hear some advice from the commentator and make changes to his style mid-fight, thereby showcasing his fight IQ and adapt on the fly.

‘Bones’ fans will be enthused to see his workout. They hope Dana White, too, will see this as a sign that the fighter is serious about a clash with Francis Ngannou. He really wants it, and his spat with ‘The Predator’ is not just social media banter.

If not ‘The Predator’, then fans could also hope for a Light Heavyweight Championship defense. ‘Bones’ has said he wants Jan Blachowicz next. However, there are whispers of him having to fight Dominick Reyes due to the polarizing reaction to their UFC 247 fight decision.

All in all, fans will absolutely love to see the Light Heavyweight Champion “just chipping away” at any excesses he may have gained during his time away.
