In the caption of the post, Khabib wrote, “I am not much of a horse ride, although I have a couple of good horses given to me by friends but Islam Makhachev doesn’t leave me alone. Among my subscribers there are many riding lovers?”

Khabib has had a hard time since the past few months. He lost his father recently, following COVID-19 complications. Several MMA fans believed that Khabib won’t appear this year. However, he surprised the world by taking a tough fight like Justin Gaethje.

Initially, Khabib was set to defend his title against Tony Ferguson at the main-event of UFC 249. However, COVID-19 lockdown wasted those plans for the fifth time in four years, making an opportunity for Gaethje to enter the mix.

‘The Highlight’ Gaethje surprised everyone by ending Tony Ferguson’s unbeaten streak of 12 fights. Not only did Gaethje become the Interim champion, but he also earned the opportunity of unifying the belt against Khabib.

Thus, Gaethje can very well be the first person ever to hand a defeat to Khabib. If not, Khabib would extend his undefeated record to 29-0, aiming one last win before retirement.

While the date of the UFC 254 has been staged on October 24, the venue and the full-fight card are yet to be deemed official by the UFC administrators.
