Paulo Costa has waited for a long time to sign the contract for a shot at the UFC Middleweight Championship. First, he suffered a bicep injury and had to watch the fight from the crowd. Later, he spent weeks calling out ‘The Last Stylebender’ on social media.

Now the duo is set to fight at UFC 253 and the Brazilian is leaving no stone unturned in his preparation to be an absolute beast once the cage door shuts behind him on September 19.

‘Borrachinha’ has begun training with a date in mind and continues to mock his opponent. He weaved in the trash-talking in a caption where he highlighted how he was preparing for the Championship fight. He wrote, We already have the clown (Izzy) and now we have the gymnast to the circus”

Paulo Costa gives fans a glimpse of his brute strength

In the tweet, followers see Costa flip from a vertical base to a handstand. His feet remain close to the wall for support in case he slips. At this point, ‘Borrachinha’ lifts one hand for a split second before placing it back on the floor. He alternates his hands and repeats this about 4-5 times over the next 10 seconds giving fans a glimpse of his phenomenal strength.

Following this, the fighter attempts to walk but bowls over and gracefully regains a vertical base. Drenched in sweat he says something in his native tongue. A glance at his face makes it seem that he is quite nonchalant by what he just accomplished.

‘Borrachinha’ is undefeated since debuting in 2012. He has claimed 12 wins and will look to stay undefeated against the also undefeated Israel Adesanya. The UFC 253 fight will be the second time ‘The Last Stylebender’ makes a title defense. On the previous occasion, he beat Yoel Romero in a fight that went to the judges’ scorecards.

Costa watched the fight from the audience and tried to leap into the fray after he got the finger. Now operating at 100% along with focusing on strengthening his body, fans can expect an all-out brawl in the cage.
