Fourth in the list is Conor McGregor’s fight with Chad Mendes. Memorably, before the match, he said he would beat his opponent. The match took place in MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, and was rightly won by the Irish with a second-round TKO.

McGregor became the interim featherweight champion that night, and ensured that he would face the undisputed champion, Jose Aldo in a title unification bout.

McGregor’s spectacular fight with Donald Cerrone finds the second place in his best bouts. Cerrone is one of the most triumphant fighters in UFC history with 23 victories, a feat that reflects both his permanence and fidelity.

Conor McGregor was coming off a long layoff after the loss to the lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov. A win over Cerrone would have put Conor on the spot of number one title contender. And Conor did exactly what he said he would. He created magic inside the octagon.

The fighter won the fight via TKO in only 40 seconds and became the first man to beat Cerrone in such a dominant fashion.

Conor has achieved some incredible feats in the sport of mixed martial arts. The fighter etched his name in UFC history when he became the first-ever two-division champion by beating Eddie Alvarez.
