UFC Light Heavyweight fighter Jon Jones seems to have taken a break from his spat with Dana White. While he may not be getting the royalties he feels he is owed, ‘Bones’ is still the 7th highest paid fighter in UFC history. He is using his riches is to give back to society by helping out his community that has been affected by the coronavirus pandemic and the riots.

In an Instagram post, ‘Bones’ says, “Alright, it’s time to put in some work. Got a nice little crew of guys. Volunteers.  See if we can find something to clean up. You guys ready to do some work? Earlier, the top-ranked pound for pound fighter was seen cleaning up damage caused by protests against the George Floyd incident. Here, in addition to cleaning up debris, he encouraged those who need assistance to reach out to him. At the same time, he urged protests to not engage in vandalism whilst attempting to stand for a cause.

He tweeted, “So proud of the city of Albuquerque tonight, the night is still young but as of now, the looting is almost nonexistent. The peaceful protest was beautiful.”

While his time outside the Octagon is spent on social causes, ‘Bones’ return is seemingly etched with question marks. He has dared UFC President Dana White to release him from his contract and even declared the intentions to vacate his title.

White meanwhile has maintained that ‘Bones’ can do whatever he wants and can return when he pleases. He also said that Jones’ comments will not cause any issues as America gives him the right to speak freely.

The duo remains at loggerheads, and it doesn’t seem as though either will relent. In the meantime, ‘Bones’ can certainly win over fans as well as certain detractors with his community efforts.
