Ali Abdelaziz will not shy away from booking a match between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje.

Although he might be a controversial figure, Ali Abdelaziz plays a crucial role in the UFC. His company, Dominance MMA Management is the largest mixed martial arts management company. Abdelaziz handles numerous top-ranked fighters in the UFC.

Managing a large pool of fighters is a tough job, especially when they are on a collision course with each other. While some managers would avoid clashes between their fighters, Ali does not back away from such opportunities.

“You saw (what happened when) Henry Cejudo fought Marlon Moraes before. If (Gaethje is) going to be the interim champion, he’s going to fight Khabib for the undisputed lightweight championship. These guys work all their lives to become a champion. Who am I to step in the way to making that happen?

Moreover, he referenced Ferguson’s trouble with his previous management company. The ‘Boogeyman’ was allegedly denied a fight with Conor McGregor by his previous management team.

“I know Tony (Ferguson) had a problem before with (having the same management as Conor McGregor), but that’s not how I do business,” Abdelaziz added. “I don’t think it’s fair for a manager or a promoter to stop a guy from having his dreams come true of becoming the undisputed UFC champion. If Justin wins, it’s a fair fight. Him and Khabib will fight.”

A fight between Gaethje and Khabib would be a barn burner. Gaethje has the required skills to pose a serious threat to Khabib. However, he must get through ‘El Cucuy’ first.

Do you see Justin Gaethje vs Khabib Nurmagomedov happening in the future?
