Francis Ngannou: Forward momentum
The former UFC title challenger has had a high profile tenure with his short stint with the promotion thus far. He has managed to become one of the biggest marquee stars who have yet to actualize the gold strap. His journey to the top has come with its share of trials that ‘The Predator’ has seemingly been able to overcome.

Francis Ngannou entered the UFC back in December 2015 and was immediately onto the radar of fight fans. His uber-tier physique meant he was easily one of the most athletic fighters on the roster. Additionally, he began racking up back-to-back stoppage victories, quickly propelling himself to the upper-echelons of the division.
His coming-out party came at UFC 218, where he secured one of the most vicious knockouts seen in modern MMA. He finished former K-1 kickboxer Alistair Overeem with a monstrous uppercut and was a bonafide superstar. In light of these events, a title shot against the dominant champion Stipe Miocic would be in his future.
