With the recent addition of former heavyweight champion, Cain Velasquez in WWE, it’s easy to wonder who else from the MMA world is going to make his/her next move to pro wrestling. We have seen Brock Lesnar being a superstar in both MMA and Pro Wrestling world. We have seen Ronda Rousey did the same and conquered both the world. Now it’s Cain Velasquez’s turn. It’s easy for us to imagine who else from MMA world can make this transition and be successful in a whole different world and the name of Daniel Cormier certainly comes on the top of that list.

Former UFC two-division champion, Daniel Cormier has shown interest in pro wrestling many times in the past. He was even discussing with WWE to make the transition a few years ago. However, as per the Executive Vice president of WWE and the founder of NXT, Triple H, Daniel Cormier will be welcomed with open arms to WWE.

When asked whether he would chose to have Conor McGregor or Daniel Cormier in WWE, Triple H leaned towards the Olympian and said:

“If I have to pick one of those, I would say Cormier is probably the most… you know we have had conversations. He loves what we do.

In a way, I feel like he is custom-built for what we do as well. He is an entertainer. He has just got a personality in some way that you can’t help like him no matter what.”

The WWE Hall of Famer indicated that athletes having a passion for pro wrestling and its fans would be a good fit in the organization.

“I think you always run the risk of ‘Are they here for the right reasons with WWE fans’. In the past, we have seen crossover stars sometimes come in and it’s obvious that they are not fans. It’s obvious that they are just here because this helps their brand because this is a moment for them it escalates their paychecks… when that happens it never works. And I think we know that now.” said Triple H.

At the moment, Daniel Cormier is supposed to fight Stipe Miocic for the heavyweight championship in a trilogy fight early next year. This fight will mark the last fight in the illustrious MMA career of Daniel Cormier. So it won’t be outrageous to think that Daniel Cormier might follow the path of his teammate Cain Velasquez and join him in the Pro Wrestling world.
