The UFC has gone over hurdles and multiple obstacles in their path to ensure sporting fans aren’t starved of live-action. They put together an impressive UFC 249 placed with multiple main event caliber fights. Furthermore, they managed to put together a handful of entertaining events with the depleted resources at hand. However, if Dana White is to be believed fans haven’t seen anything yet with Israel Adesanya among the names making a return.

Dana White promises an insane August for fight fans

In a chat with the media ahead of UFC on ESPN 11, White hinted at an impressive line up of fights for the 8th month of the year. “The fights that we have lined up for this summer are awesome. August is ridiculous.”

He continues by implying that fans will be amazed in time as the months go by with the UFC not stopping in their quest of churning out top-quality action.

“August is insane and then you know how that usually works out as we end the year going into the fall. There’s always killer fights going into the fall too.”

At this point, he talks about how it feels so good to see his hard work come to fruition. “So, I mean with all the madness that’s going on in this world right now. This thing is good right now. Everything is so good right now in the UFC world.”

Finally, when probed by the press about Adesanya the UFC President made a blockbuster reveal as he casually replied, “oh yeah! That fight’s happening.”

‘The Last Stylebender’ has not set foot in the Octagon since taking down Yoel Romero at UFC 248 in March. He will most likely fight Paulo Costa next. However, White didn’t exactly say when the 4th ranked pound-for-pound fighter will slug it out inside the cage. Nor did he reveal the identity of the opponent. But fans can add that clash to their ‘upcoming blockbuster fight list.’

July is already an enticing month for fans as it would feature the debut of Fight Island with 3 championship fights on the same night at UFC 251. Furthermore, the company seemingly confirmed the long-awaited trilogy matchup between Daniel Cormier and Stipe Miocic for August. Now with this latest announcement, we can expect a Middleweight Championship fight soon as well.

What fights do you think we will see as part of what Dana White promises will be an “insane August?”
