“You Haven’t Seen My Full Potential Yet- Lerone Murphy

Featherweight Lerone Murphy has reportedly extended his UFC contract, and he seems more than thrilled to announce the same.

The 28-year-old recently took to Twitter and revealed that he has re-signed with the biggest MMA promotion in the world. Meaning the fans will get to witness much more of the ‘The Miracle’ in the coming days.

Murphy(8-0-1) is undefeated in his pro MMA career. That said, the UFC 145 lbs division is full of talents, and Murphy has still not been tested against the elites.

However, he has showcased his caliber in his first two fights under the promotion and might be the next big thing for UFC.

Lerone Murphy reveals he has extended his UFC contract

The featherweight prodigy took to Twitter and expressed his excitement over re-signing the contract.

While thanking Dana White and his team for the contract renewal, Murphy also stated that we are yet to witness his full potential. Since Murphy is just two-fights old in the promotion, he has still got a long way to go.

“So the big news is I have resigned (re-signed) with @ufc @UFCEurope. I am excited to continue my journey with the biggest organization in the world. You haven’t even seen my full potential yet. thanks @danawhite @seanshelby” wrote Murphy.

However, netizens mocked Murphy for putting it as resigned instead of re-signed. An internet user named trolled the UFC fighter and joked about Murphy missing his grammar classes.

While 99 stated that Murphy must have missed his high school for putting in the wrong word.

Justin Lelbach also expressed his shock over the confusion, but raised the Briton for his caliber. He claimed that Murphy can eventually become a world champion in UFC if he remains to be active in the promotion.

The Miracle’s run in MMA

The British featherweight staged himself as a promising contender after making it big in the Full Contact Contender Series. As soon as Dana White saw his aptitude for the art of combat sports, he brought him into the UFC.

However, Murphy couldn’t notch a win in his debut.

Murphy faced Zubaira Tukhugov in his maiden UFC fight. The fight went till the last rounds and was ruled out to be a controversial draw, putting a halt to Murphy’s win streak.

Yet, he bounced back in his second contest against Ricardo Ramos at the Fight Island. Murphy claimed the win with a vicious first-round knockout. No wonder the UFC officials have retained him in the promotion.
