A lot of action has followed since Conor McGregor revealed his list of GOATs in the UFC, on social media. Fighters like Nate Diaz, Jon Jones, and Khabib Nurmagomedov took to social media to flame the fighter.

This is something that McGregor signed up for, before posting a controversial list like this in the public forum. However, what he was probably not expecting was his Tweet materializing into an opportunity for a potential fight. And not just any fight, a top tier title fight.

Following Conor’s post, MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz took to Twitter in a bid to issue a challenge to McGregor to take on Kamaru Usman. However, he has added some bizarre provisions.

The manager has been working with some of the biggest names in the sport for quite some time. Kamaru Usman, Khabib Nurmagomedov, and the freshly retired Henry Cejudo.

He wields a lot of influence over the matchmaking process considering how he manages the welterweight and lightweight champions. In addition, he used to manage the now-retired bantamweight champion.

Considering how he has the ear of some of the greatest fighters in the promotion, it is no surprise that he can change the direction of potential title fights with the snap of his fingers. Even though many fans may brush his claims off as nothing more than jokes, he still possesses a considerable amount of power.

“It looks like #1 contender wants to fight Nate Diaz now . Good for him @TheNotoriousMMA hey you want a title shot? Come to daddy @USMAN84kg will give you one and he promise first 2 rounds without takedowns only slaps” said Abdelaziz on Twitter.

Who is Conor McGregor looking to replace?

Ahead of the Irishman’s post on Twitter, Abdelaziz had hard plans in place to organize a fight between Usman and Jorge Masvidal, the number 1 contender. The Nigerian Nightmare has been looking to take on the BMF title holder for quite some time. The two fighters have been consistently going back and forth over social media.

However, based on his activity on social media, Gamebred may be more interested in taking on Nate Diaz instead. Street Jesus responded to Diaz’s claims that he was the “baddest motherf****r in the game”. Despite having lost to Masvidal at UFC 244.

Therefore, Abdelaziz called on McGregor to give him an opportunity to win a title at the welterweight level. The Egyptian manager’s job is to get his clients the biggest money fights in the business, and it doesn’t get any bigger than Conor when it comes to money.

If Conor McGregor were to overcome Usman in a fight, that would result in him having conquered 3 different weight classes. A feat that not a lot of fighters have accomplished. However, it seems unlikely for a fight like this to materialize. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed.

Do you think Abdelaziz is serious?
